Support for Providers in need of Hand Sanitizer

NYTHP Primary Care providers have confirmed an order of hand sanitizer with an Ontario supplier. The product format will be in 236 ml bottles and is sold in cases of 24. The alcohol content in this product is 65% which meets the WHO stipulation that hand sanitizer must meet or exceed 60% alcohol by volume to be effective against Coronaviruses.

Please place the order per medical building or agency (i.e. not for one case). The cost of each case has been marked up by 3% for credit card handling and an additional dollar ($1 per case) for warehousing.

Medical students have graciously come forward to deliver this product. Therefore, please ensure you include your cell phone in the order process so that we can ensure the safe drop off of the product.

Please place your order online here

Providing Virtual Care for your Patients

As many providers are choosing to move towards virtual care options for their patients, OMD has provided guidance on virtual care for clinicians wishing to implement. OTN also has a web page highlighting solutions for primary care providers.

Ontario Health Quality (formerly known as Health Quality Ontario) has also posted guidance on Adopting and Integrating Virtual Visits into Care

Furthermore, the North York Toronto Health Partners had an online discussion pertaining to implementing virtual care in your practice (March 17, 2020). Click here to view the recording. Dr. David Kaplan,a North York Primary Care Provider, has also developed Virtual Care Hardware Considerations for clinicians.

*Note*: The Ministry of Health has asked that physicians HOLD submissions of these virtual care codes for one month (starting March 18, 2020), until their system is prepared to receive them.
